Muchos piensan que lo más importante en una entrevista de trabajo es tu curriculum y cómo comunicas verbalmente tu experiencia laboral al entrevistador; sin embargo, el lenguaje no verbal es igualmente de relevante durante este proceso. Los gestos y movimientos que realizas durante una entrevista dicen mucho de ti, más de lo que te imaginas. Un buen lenguaje corporal es fundamental para sobresalir entre los demás candidatos.Los siguientes son siete consejos que siempre hay que tener en mente cuando se está frente a un entrevistador:
- Saluda siempre con un firme apretón de manos y una sonrisa. El saludo es la primera interacción, queda sellado en la memoria de la otra persona.
- Al sentarte, mantén una postura recta con ambos pies en el suelo. Una buena postura proyecta mayor confianza en ti mismo y una mejor disposición a escuchar a la otra persona.
- Habla claramente y con confianza, siempre haciendo contacto visual con el entrevistador. Cuida también no hablar demasiado rápido.
- Usa tus manos para enfatizar los puntos más importantes que quieres comunicar, pero cuida no abusar de ello.
- Identifica las claves culturales. Hoy en día, es muy común que puedas tener una entrevista con una empresa o entrevistador extranjero. Observa a tu alrededor para identificar el comportamiento y costumbres.
- Recuerda mantener la calma. El mover la pierna mucho o gesticular demasiado, son signos positivos de estrés, lo cual puede comunicar inseguridad al entrevistador.
- Simplemente, relájate. Hay que estar mentalmente preparado antes de la entrevista para que tu cuerpo no transmita ansiedad. Recuerda: si ya fuiste invitado a participar en un proceso de reclutamiento, significa que la empresa está interesada en ti.
Una entrevista debe ser una experiencia positiva para el candidato, es una oportunidad para vender su talento y hacer una conexión con la empresa que lo está entrevistando.
